MONTEVALLO, Ala. – University of Montevallo Athletic Director Jim Herlihy announced Thursday the hiring of Ed Langham as the strength and conditioning coach at UM. This is a new position for the department and will help bolster the efforts of the coaches and athletic training staff.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo Athletic Department has released the first edition of Falcon Facts. Falcon Facts will highlight the weekly events happening in the Montevallo Athletic Department as well as feature notes on the various UM teams competing that week. Week one features the men’s and women’s soccer teams, the volleyball team and the men’s golf team.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo baseball head coach Chandler Rose announced the signing of fourteen recruits for the 2011 season. This class marks the first for Rose as the head of the Falcon baseball program.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team’s exhibition match with Alabama A&M scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled. Alabama A&M is unable to compete in the match and have elected to cancel the contest. The Falcons will next be in action in their regular season opener at Columbus, Ga. against the University of Tampa on Sept. 3.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team was voted to finish tied for third in the Peach Belt Conference according to league coaches. The PBC Preseason Coaches Poll released today has the Falcons in a deadlock with Augusta State University for the third place team in the league.
