2012... Played at Central Alabama Community College. During his two-year career at CACC, he hit .324 in 358 at bats. He scored 111 runs, had 11 doubles, 50 RBI, and 31 stolen bases. He also walked 71 times in his two years while at CACC.

Prepped at Auburn High School in Auburn, Ala... helped lead his team to the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A state baseball championship in both his junior and senior years... was named All-State in 2009... was named All-Area as a member of the Auburn High School football team... graduated with honors.

Personal... Is a business management major... is the son of Tommy and Peggy Thompson... has one brother, Dewayne Deal... his father, Tommy, played collegiate football at Auburn University.
