SAAC Hosts Fourth Annual Showdown

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted the ‘SAAC Showdown’ in aid of the Make-A-Wish-Foundation. All proceeds went towards the Make-A-Wish-Foundation which works to enrich the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work.

SAAC Elects Officers for 2012-13

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo Student-Athlete Advisory Committee recently elected its officers for the 2012-13 school year. The student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes' lives.

Four Student-Athletes Attend Women in Athletics Seminar

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference hosted its fourth annual Women in Athletics Seminar on Thursday at Augusta State University to provide female student-athletes who may want to pursue a career in collegiate athletics the opportunity to interact with a wide range of professional women in sports. Over 100 female student-athletes from 16 schools and three conferences gathered for the event.

McDonald and Walsh Selected to Lead PBC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

AUGUSTA, Ga.- Sophomore Mark McDonald (Auburn, Ala./Auburn) and freshman Zackery Walsh (Trussville, Ala./Hewitt-Trussville) of the University of Montevallo men’s cross country team were recently elected as the Chair and Vice Chair of the Peach Belt Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), respectively.
