Falcons to Host Think Pink Event on Saturday

MONTEVALLO, Ala. - October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the University of Montevallo women’s soccer team is doing their part to increase awareness across campus and in the community by hosting a fundraising event. Think Pink will be the theme of this Saturday’s (10/23) match against Lander University. All spectators are encouraged to wear pink to visually show their support for breast cancer awareness to the match. The women’s soccer team will also be taking the field in pink jerseys.

The pink theme will continue with the sale of pink University of Montevallo soccer t-shirts. Each member of the women’s team will be playing in honor or in memory of someone they know who has been affected by breast cancer. Also the team will honor a select group of survivors at halftime of the match.

The women’s match begins at 1:00 p.m.
