Ati Named Daktronics All-Southeast Region Second Team
SAVANNAH, Ga. – Sophomore Manyi Ati (Lawrenceville, Ga./Grayson) of the University of Montevallo volleyball team was named Daktronics All-Southeast Region Second Team as voted on by the region Sports Information Directors. This is the first Daktronics All-Region Award for Ati despite being named All-region last season by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Ati was named First Team All-PBC this season and ended the year ranked second in the PBC in kills per set and third in hitting percentage. She already has 742 career kills in just two seasons. She had double-digit kills in 21 matches this season including a season-high 20 against USC Aiken. She was named First Team All-Conference and Freshman of the Year last season. She was also an Honorable Mention on the PBC All-Academic Team in 2010 and she was named to the PBC Presidential Honor Roll.
