Saints Drop Falcons, 3-0

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team (13-15, 4-8 PBC) dropped its second-straight match as the Falcons fell to Flagler College (20-6, 10-1 PBC), 3-0. UM struggled offensively as the Falcons hit just .133 as a team and ran into nine FC blocks. Sophomore Manyi Ati (Lawrenceville, Ga./Grayson) led the Falcons with 13 kills while sophomore Michelle Carle (Sugar Land, Texas/Clements) added seven kills and six digs.

Senior setter Anna Garrison (LaVergne, Tenn./LaVergne) came just shy of a double-double with 30 assists and nine digs. Senior libero Jessica Guidry (Fort Walton Beach, Fla./Pensacola State College) led the team with 13 digs.

FC swept the match 25-19, 25-21 and 25-21.

The Saints hit .274 as a team and had nine blocks. FC was led by Dianna Craine who had 12 kills and eight digs.

The Falcons will return to action Friday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. as they travel to Francis Marion University for another Peach Belt Conference match.
