MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo baseball head coach Chandler Rose announced the signing of fourteen recruits for the 2011 season. This class marks the first for Rose as the head of the Falcon baseball program.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo Athletics Hall of Fame Committee has announced its selections for the class of 2010. The committee welcomes three former student-athletes and one former student who attended the University prior to intercollegiate athletics being offered. All four members of the class of 2010 will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Sunday, October 10 on the campus of the University of Montevallo.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – University of Montevallo baseball head coach Chandler Rose announced the dates of the Baseball Alumni Weekend. UM will be hosting all its former baseball players the weekend of October 29-30. The weekend will feature a golf outing and a meet and greet with the coaches and players. BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Six former Falcons including one coach from the University of Montevallo baseball team were named to the Gulf South Conference East Division All-Decade Team. Former Falcon stars Trent Preuitt (2002-05), J.D. Pruitt (2006-07) and Zach Andrews (2005-08) were all named to the First Team. Daniel Tankersley (2006-07), Travis Fultz (2006-07) and former head coach Greg Goff (2004-07) were named to the Second Team.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Former University of Montevallo pitching standout Nate Russ (2007-08) recently signed a professional contract to play in the Atlanta Braves organization. He is currently playing for the Gulf Coast League Braves in Orlando, Fla. The GCL Braves is the rookie squad for the Atlanta organization.
