MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Sophomore second baseman Will Fulmer (Palm Harbor, Fla./East Lake) of the University of Montevallo baseball team (25-28) was named Daktronics Second Team All-Southeast Region. This is Fulmer’s second, Second Team All-Region selection this season after being named Second Team by the NCBWA.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Sophomore second baseman Will Fulmer (Palm Harbor, Fla./East Lake) and senior first baseman Heath Peterson (Phenix City, Ala./Chattahoochee Valley C.C.) of the University of Montevallo baseball team (25-28) were honored by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Fulmer was named Second Team All-Region while Peterson received an Honorable Mention.

COLUMBUS, Ga. – USC Aiken’s Derek Beasley overcame a shaky start to strike out 10 and lead the Pacers’ baseball team to a 7-5 victory over the University of Montevallo in the Peach Belt Conference Baseball Tournament’s loser’s bracket Friday morning at Golden Park.

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Freshman reliever Chess Malone pitched 2.1 scoreless innings and allowed 11th-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State University to escape with a 5-3 win over the University of Montevallo, Thursday afternoon (May 10) on the second day of the 2012 Peach Belt Conference Baseball Tournament.

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Freshman pinch hitter Vinny Rodriguez (Birmingham, Ala./Shades Valley) lofted an RBI double to deep right center field to score senior Josh Headley (Gardendale, Ala./Gardendale) with the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the University of Montevallo made its Peach Belt Conference Tournament debut a successful one with a 5-4 victory over 13th-ranked USC Aiken, Wednesday morning (May 9).
