AUGUSTA, Ga. - Four players finished in double figures as the seventh-seeded University of Montevallo men’s basketball team upset second-seeded Mount Olive College 84-70 in the quarterfinals of the 2010 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Southeast Regional at Christenberry Fieldhouse in Augusta, Ga.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of Montevallo men's basketball team (23-7) is headed to its fifth NCAA Tournament in the past seven seasons this week as they travel to Augusta State University in Augusta, Georgia to take part in the Southeast Region Tournament. The Falcons will face the Mount Olive College (25-5) in the first round.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – For the fifth time in the past seven years the University of Montevallo men’s basketball team (23-7) and head coach Danny Young will head to the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Falcons earned an at-large bid to the 2010 NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament in Augusta, Ga.

AIKEN, S.C. – The University of Montevallo men’s basketball team (23-7) dropped a hard-fought Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship game to USC Aiken (19-10) on the Pacers home court, 65-60. The Falcons were led by All-Tournament team members Freddy Little and Tauras Dortch. Little led all scorers with 20 points while Dortch had 10.

AIKEN, S.C. – The University of Montevallo men’s basketball team (23-6) took on the top-ranked team in the country in the semifinals of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament this evening (March 6) and came away with a 81-77 victory. The win avenges an earlier season loss to Augusta State University (26-3) on national television. The Falcons will now take on the winner of USC Aiken and Clayton State in the championship game tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. (EST).
