Two Falcons Named to PBC All-Academic Teams

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of Montevallo men’s golf team was awarded one spot on the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic Team while one golfer was given an Honorable Mention. Senior Aaron Ebert (Huron, Ohio/St. Mary's Central Catholic) was named to the All-Academic Team while junior Mariano Lepori (Posadas, Argentina) was given an Honorable Mention. This was Ebert’s second-straight selection to the All-Academic team while Lepori receives his second Honorable Mention.

Third Annual Montevallo Golf Fundraiser Event

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – University of Montevallo men’s and women’s golf head coach Justin Pratt announced the date of the Third Annual Montevallo Golf Fundraiser Event. The University of Montevallo and the men’s and women’s golf programs would like to extend this invitation to all former golfers, families, friends and boosters to attend the event. The tournament and dinner will take place Friday, April 20 at Timberline Golf Club.

Falcons Finish 10th at Peach Belt Conference Championship

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The University of Montevallo men’s golf team wrapped up its 2011-12 season with a 10th-place finish at the Peach Belt Conference Championship The Falcons were led by junior Andrew Lowry (Decatur, Ala./Wallace State C.C.) who shot a three-round score of 228 to finish 31st overall. The Falcons finished ahead of Lander University while UNC Pembroke and USC Aiken tied for the lead with team scores of 872. UNCP won the event on the first playoff hole.

Falcons Finish Seventh at Argonaut Invitational

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of Montevallo men’s golf team finished seventh at the University of West Florida Argonaut Invitational in Pensacola, Fla. The Falcons were led by junior Austin Murphey (Opelika, Ala./Lee-Scott Academy) who shot a three-round score of 221 which was just four-over par. Murphey tied for 14th overall in the event. The Falcons finished ahead of the University of New Orleans while the University of North Alabama won the event.
