Falcons Get Back to Winning Ways With 2-1 Victory Over Lakers

HOW IT HAPPENED

-The Falcons jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first half thanks to a goal by Oliver Cylkowski in the 17th minute.  Cylkowski took a header from Patrick Morton and found the left corner of the net to give the Falcons the lead.

-The Lakers scored an equalizer goal in the 41st minute to tie the game at 1-1 off an unassisted goal by Iain Smith.

-After coming out of the break tied each team went back and forth with neither side wanting to relinquish another goal to the opposing team.  Rob McNeal scored the go-ahead goal for the Falcons in the 74th minute after gathering the ball at the top of the box. McNeal's goal gave the Falcons a 2-1 victory.

STAT OF THE GAME

Goalkeeper Robert Kuta faced a barrage of shots from the Clayton State offense.  Kuta faced 10 shots that were put on frame and only surrendered one goal in tonight's contest.

UP NEXT

The Falcons will return to action a week from today with a PBC matchup with Georgia Southwestern on October 5th.  That match is scheduled to kick-off at 6:30pm.
