The External & Media Relations Office serves as the primary contact for all media covering Montevallo Athletics. The office coordinates interview requests, game day media operations, credentialing, statistical services, and publicity for the University's 19 varsity sports.
In addition to serving the media, the office produces press releases, feature stories and special publications, oversees the department's social media strategy, maintains MontevalloFalcons.com, preserves athletics records and statistics, and produces every home athletic webcast. The department works to promote Falcon Athletics throughout the community, state, region and nation.

MEDIA POLICIES
Interview Requests
For media outlets, all interview and credential requests must be directed to the University of Montevallo External & Media Relations Office.
Members of the media wishing to cover University of Montevallo athletic events should request credentials in advance by contacting the appropriate sport contact. Interview requests for coaches and student-athletes should also be directed through each sport's primary media relations contact. Coaches and student-athletes will be made available following a 10-minute cooling-off period after each competition. For inquiries regarding the Director of Athletics or the athletic department as a whole, please contact Blake Jowers at mjowers2@montevallo.edu. Interviews may be conducted either over the phone or in person.
Press box seating is prioritized for External & Media Relations staff, live audio personnel, video broadcast crews, print media representatives, and credentialed photographers.
Photo Requests
Montevallo provides high-resolution images to recognized media outlets for editorial use upon request. Media members seeking specific photo assets may contact Blake Jowers at mjowers2@montevallo.edu or Timothy Bowens at tbowens1@montevallo.edu.
CURRENT FALCONÂ STUDENT-ATHLETES
Current Falcon student-athletes are encouraged to complete the Falcon Student-Athlete Questionnaire to assist the External & Media Relations Office in creating and maintaining their official athletics biography.
