University of Montevallo Athletics

 

Duties of the office include writing press releases and feature stories about Falcon Athletics, coordinating media relations and game day staffing for all home athletic events, writing and producing special publications, the oversight of the department's social media strategy, filming and editing of promotional and highlight videos, upkeep of montevallofalcons.com, record keeping and the production of every home athletic webcast.
 

The University of Montevallo External and Media Relations Department works to promote Falcon Athletics in the community, state, region and nation.

Media Policies Interview Requests

All interviews with the University of Montevallo coaches or student-athletes must be coordinated through the each teams primary contact. To request an interview, please contact each sports primary contact. For inquiries for the director of athletics or the athletic department as a whole, please contact Wyatt Hall at whall3@montevallo.edu. Interview may be conducted over the phone or in person.

Student-athletes and coaches will be made available to the media following a 10-minute cooling off period after each competition. Members of the media wishing to cover any University of Montevallo athletic event can receive clearance by contacting Wyatt Hall at whall3@montevallo.edu. Press boxes are prioritized for Media Relations staff, live audio, video broadcast personnel, print writers and photographers. 

Photo Requests

Montevallo can provide high resolution images to recognized media outlets for news purposes upon request. Media in need of specific photo assets may contact Wyatt Hall at whall3@montevallo.edu, Blake Jowers mjowers2@montevallo.edu, Tim Bowens tbowens1@montevallo.edu or Spencer Wright swright19@montevallo.edu.
