HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons traveled to the Sunshine State to take on the Tampa Spartans in the first of two games to be played this weekend.
The Spartans held the Falcons scoreless through the first half of play and found goal 11 times. Tampa took an 11-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. Montevallo was outshot 23-5 in the first half and goalkeeper Irfana Ahmed recorded six saves in the half.
In the second half, the Falcons offensive troubles continued as they struggled to find goal. After surrendering four goals in the half to the Spartans, Montevallo got on the board in the final minute of play. Jessica Culver scored the Falcons lone goal of the game in the 15-1 defeat.
