MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's lacrosse team was defeated in their Gulf South Conference opener by Young Harris, 22-11.
 
Nicole Pahnke led the Falcons in offensive production with seven goals and one assist. 
 
Jami Hudak added three additional goals in the double-digit defeat and Arianna Endelmann also scored one goal.

KEY GOALS

1' | Kendra Parenteau opened the scoring in the game and started a six-goal run for Young Harris.
10' | Nicole Pahnke got the Falcons on the board with an unassisted goal to make it 6-1.
20' | Nicole Pahnke scored an unassisted goal to start a three-goal run for the Falcons.
24' | Jami Hudak netted her first goal of the game and capped off the three-goal run for the Falcons.
58' | Nicole Pahnke scores her seventh goal of the game and also the final goal of the game.

GAME NOTES

• Each team came out in today's game and played a very attack heavy offense.  Young Harris held a slight 38-30 lead in shots taken in the game.
• Montevallo was successful on 13-of-18 clears.
• Both teams fought to gain possession and were active on the defensive side of the ball.  Young Harris held a 19-18 advantage in groundballs.
• Nicole Pahnke scored seven goals for the Falcons including the first four for Montevallo in the game.
