MONTEVALLO, Ala. - University of Montevallo competitive cheerleading coach
Jill Honeycutt is pleased to announce the addition of seven signees on the program's Spring Signing Day.

The new signees include Ed Howard of McComb, Mississippi, Ellen Reid of Montevallo, Alabama, Emma Reid of Oneonta, Alabama, Kacie Fleming of Russellville, Alabama, Naydeya Granger of Cottonwood, Alabama, and Starr Edwards and Madison Robertson of Brighton, Alabama.

"I am so excited to continue to grow our signing class with these seven signees," said Montevallo competitive cheerleading coach
Jill Honeycutt. "There will still be an opportunity to join our program at tryouts on May 10-11."

Ed Howard is from McComb, Mississippi, and currently attends and cheers for Southwest Mississippi Community College. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and retains a 3.6 GPA. He was voted "Campus Favorite" and Cheer Captain for the 2018-19 season. Ed plans to transfer and begin his junior year at Montevallo in the fall 2019 semester.

Ellen Reid is from Montevallo, Alabama, and currently attends and cheers for Montevallo High School. She has cheered for five years and was named an All-American cheerleader for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. She is also the Co-President of FCCLA and involved in other organizations such as the Youth Leadership Development Program, FTA, Broadcast, and Diamond Dolls. Ellen will arrive as a freshman in the fall 2019 semester.

Emma Reid is from Oneonta, Alabama, and currently attends and cheers for Appalachian High School. She has cheered for three years and was named Co-Captain for one year and Captain this past year. She was an ambassador for her school and a member of the National Honors Society for three years. Emma holds a 3.9 GPA and will arrive as a freshman in the fall 2019 semester. She plans to major in psychology or mass communication.

Kacie Fleming is from Russellville, Alabama, and currently attends Calhoun Community College. She is a member of the Presidential Honors Program at Calhoun and cheers for Xtreme Allstars. Kacie graduated in the top ten percent of her class from Russellville High School in 2018 and in the ACT 30+ Club. She received the President's Award of Educational Achievement, Meritorious Award, Franklin County Arts and Humanities Scholarship, and Big Brothers Big Sisters Scholarship.

Naydeya Granger is from Cottonwood, Alabama, and currently attends Cottonwood High School. She was a cheerleader and played volleyball for her high school. She was also a member of the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy, President of Skills USA, and a member of Key Club. Naydeya will arrive as a freshman in the fall 2019 semester and plans on majoring in education of the deaf and hard of hearing.

Starr Edwards is from Brighton, Alabama, and currently attends and cheers for Pleasant Grove High School. She has a 3.5 GPA and is ranked fourth in her graduating class. She has cheered for nine years and was awarded All State cheerleader from grades 8
th-10
th. She was Co-Captain of her team from 9
th-10
th grade and Captain her senior year. Starr will arrive as a freshman in the fall 2019 semester.

Madison Robertson is also from Brighton, Alabama, and currently attends and cheers for Pleasant Grove High School. She is Co-Captain of her cheer team and is the editor of the yearbook staff. Madison will arrive as a freshman in the fall 2019 semester and plans on majoring in speech pathology.
