GAFFNEY, S.C. – The University of Montevallo Wrestling team was defeated by Limestone University 28-12 on Friday, Dec. 1.
An experienced Saints squad was prepared to defend their home turf as they started the match off with five consecutive wins. The first three were by decision as Limestone won 6-2 in the 125, 5-4 in the 133 and 7-1 in the 141.
LU would take the next two in the results via tech falls.
The Falcons would get on the board and their first win of the night as
Carson Freeman won by decision over Chase McKinney, 7-1, in the 165 match.
Montevallo would keep the momentum going as
Aiden Knight would take the win over Garrett Starks with a pin in 4:46.
Limestone would take the next two bouts with a tech fall and a major decision.
Noah Todd would end the night with a win over Caleb Melton in a decision 10-4.
