BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Montevallo men's golf senior Eric Boutwell has been named Gulf South Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week for the second time this season.

The Russellville, Ala. native earned his second weekly title after finishing the Turtle Point Invite as the top Div. II participant with a three-round score of seven-under to finish tied for third at the event. Boutwell opened the tournament with an even-par 72 in round one before adding a four-under 68 in the second round. The senior added a third-round score of 69 (-3) to finish the event with a total score of 209 (-7). His week was highlighted by 13 birdies and a pair of eagles, both of which came in the final round.

Boutwell heads back onto the course on Oct. 25-29 to play in the Citrus Intercollegiate hosted by Nova Southeastern in Champions Gate, Fla.
