MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo wrestling team looks to defend their home turf as they take on the Huntingdon College Hawks on Friday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. CT. This will be Montevallo's Pack the Sac dual as well as Chick-Fil-A night.

At the Georgia Open, the Falcons totaled six placers with
Colt Brown and
Jake Chisolm leading the way with second and third place finishes.
Carson Freeman earned four wins at the open and is the first Falcon this season with double-digit wins.

About Montevallo
The Falcons come in with a 1-1 dual record on the season as they picked up their first win of the season in a 28-14 victory over Coker on Nov. 6. In the match, Montevallo won seven-out-of-10 bouts.
Colt Brown recorded the highest finish of the day for the Falcons at the Georgia Open. Brown placed in second in the 125-weight class as he went 3-1. His wins included a 7-0 decision over Erick Hair of Southeastern, an 11-6 decision over Mikey Doerr of Life and a 4-2 decision over Gylon Sims of The Citadel to earn his way to the championship bout.
Jake Chisolm earned a third-place finish at the Georgia Open as he went 5-1 for UM. Chisolm's five wins included a 19-1 tech fall over Gailan Wilds of Brewton-Parker, a 20-5 tech fall over Izac Mmartinez of Southeastern, a 9-6 decision over Justin Hayes of The Citadel, a 6-3 decision over Cade Parent and a win in the third-place match by forfeit.
Scouting Huntingdon
The Hawks are coming off of the Millikin Open on Nov. 9 where they had six placers. At 174 pounds, David Burgess led the Hawks with a first-place finish where he went 6-0 including three pins (fastest in 0:36), a 14-0 major decision and two decisions.
Nicholas Brashear came in third-place for the 197-weight class with a 4-1 record on the day. Brashear had two tech falls, a major decision and decision. Gabriel Sweat was the third highest placer for Huntingdon with a fourth-place finish in the 165. Sweat went 3-2 with two decision and a fall of 2:47.
