MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Fueled by an electric home crowd, the University of Montevallo wrestling team dominated Huntingdon College, 35-9, in their first home dual of the 2024-25 season.
The Falcons were all over the Hawks early as they won their first six bouts of the dual. Huntingdon fought back towards the end of the match by taking three out of the final four bouts, but the Montevallo lead was insurmountable.
Montevallo tallied four tech falls, two falls and a decision. In his home debut as a Falcon,
Noah Smith earned his fastest fall of the season as he pinned Huntingdon's Jamal Whittington in 3:23.
Carson Freeman picked up his fourth fall of the 2024-25 season as he pinned David Bailey in 2:14.

Individual Highlights
- Colt Brown got the Falcon faithful on their feet as he earned his first tech fall of the season as he defeated Nick Nguyen 23-5 in 6:39. Brown moves to 6-1 on the season.
- Noah Smith pinned Jamal Whittington in 3:23. This was Smith's fastest fall of the season and his fourth win via fall.
- Chad Strickland kept the momentum on the Falcon bench as he won a well fought bout 10-8. Strickland now has seven wins this season.
- Freshman Nick Dempsey picked up his first tech fall of the 2024-25 season as he defeated Seth Deperro 17-2 in 2:59.
- Carson Freeman picked up his fourth pin of the season in his bout against David Bailey in 2:14.
- Jake Chisolm gave the Falcons their sixth straight win with a 19-2 tech fall over Gabe Sweat of Huntingdon. Chisolm is now 5-0 in bouts ending in tech falls this season.
- Savian Graham earned his third tech fall of the season in seven minutes against Nick Kendrick. Graham moves to 7-1 in 2024.
