BELMONT, N.C. – The University of Montevallo wrestling team fell to RV Belmont Abbey on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 18-24.
The Falcons won four bouts in the match.
Colt Brown earned his first fall of the season as he took down Brett Balzan in 5:24. With the win, Brown is 7-1 on the season and 4-0 in dual bouts.
After Belmont Abbey won the 133, 141 and 149-weight classes, Montevallo battled back with three consecutive bout wins.
Carson Freeman got it started with a 16-5 major decision over William Nix.
Jake Chisolm followed up with his team-leading sixth tech fall of the season over Cole Townsend in 5:15.
Aiden Knight picked up a 7-2 decision win against Christian Arrington in the 174-weight class.
