The No. 22 ranked Falcons dropped its first dual of the Greyhound Duals tournament, to No. 9 McKendree 38-13. Gabe Hixenbaugh (20-0) scored first for Montevallo with a major decision victory in the 133-weight class.
Carson Freeman (16-10) notched a decision win in the 157 spot prior to a fall win for
Derek Hussey (16-6) which would be the final points of the dual for the Falcons.

- No. 1 Gabe Hixenbaugh earned his 20th win of the year, defeating No. 18 Ryan Ripplinger by major decision 14-2.
- Carson Freeman earned a decision win, 13-7, over Christian Pfeiffer-Laguerre for his 16th win of the year.
- Derek Hussey defeated Jordan Alcala by fall, in 6:29, for six points and his fifth pin of the season.

Montevallo fell behind early, 4-0 to Quincy before Hixenbaugh earned a win-by-forfeit.
After falling behind 12-6, Montevallo rattled off four-straight wins to re-take the lead, 25-12.
Freeman (17-10) began the string of victories with a major decision win at the 157 spot. Next, Hussey (17-6) added his second fall win of the day for six more dual points.
Aiden Knight (14-10) followed Hussey with his team-leading seventh fall win of the year. Tubbs capped the run with a three-point decision win in the 184-weight class.
Quincy earned a pair of decision wins down the stretch but it wasn't enough as UM took the win, 24-18.
Individual Highlights
- Hixenbaugh moved to 21-0 with a forfeit win over Quincy.
- Freeman turned in four points for UM with a major decision win over Quincy's Easton Norris 12-3 for his third major decision win and 17th overall.
- Derek Hussey earned his second win of the day with another fall win, in 4:08, over Gaberiel Orosco.
- Aiden Knight added six points for UM with his team-leading seventh fall win of the year in 3:36 over Quincy's Aaron Taylor.
- Jeffery Tubbs recorded a decision win over Judah Yates for his 17th.
