MONTEVALLO, Ala. – University of Montevallo Vice President of Athletics and Special Programs, Mark Richard, has announced staff promotions and additions ahead of the 2024-25 academic year.
 
Chandler Rose – Head Baseball Coach/Assistant Athletic Director
Head Baseball Coach, Chandler Rose will enter 15^th season at Montevallo this year and has added Assistant Athletic Director duties to his role. In this role, Rose will oversee outdoor facilities and facility usage.
 
Katie O'Brien – Assistant Athletic Director for Academics and Compliance/Senior Woman Administrator
A 16-year member of the Montevallo Athletic Department, Assistant AD Katie O'Brien, has been named Senior Woman Administrator.
 
Wyatt Hall - Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations
Wyatt Hall has been named Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations and will provide oversight of the Media Relations office while handling all external affairs for the athletic department.
 
Blake Jowers – Director of Media Relations
Blake Jowers, who has served as the Assistant Director of Media Relations for two years has been promoted to Director of Media Relations and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the department. 
 
Timothy Bowens – Assistant Director of Media Relations
Joining the staff as Assistant Director of Media Relations is Timothy Bowens. Bowens joins Montevallo from the University of Cumberland's. With the Falcons, Bowens will be the primary media relations contact for men's soccer, women's basketball, men and women's track and field, men and women's cross country, men and women's tennis and softball. 
 
Vinny Spitzer Jr. - Athletic Operations Assistant/Gameday Administrator
Vinny Spitzer Jr. has been named Athletic Operations Assistant and will serve as UM's Game Day Administrator.
