MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo Athletics has named Men's Cross Country's Zak Ferguson and Volleyball's Maggie McColley as Montevallo Players of the Week Presented by Jack's. 
 
Zak Ferguson (Cross Country)
Ferguson continued his standout freshman year with a top 10 finish in one of the most competitive fields of the season at the UAH Chargers XC Invitational. The freshman recorded a personal best time of 24:38.50 in the men's 8K, placing ninth overall out of more than 250 runners. His time ranks as the second fastest 8K in Montevallo program history. 

Against competitive competition with regional and Gulf South Conference contenders, Ferguson was not only the top Falcon finisher but also the top freshman finisher in the entire race. His performance helped the Falcons to a 12^th place team finish. 
 
 Maggie McColley (Volleyball)
McColley played a pivotal role in Montevallo Volleyball's three-win week, helping the Falcons extend their Gulf South Conference winning streak to four matches. The senior hitter delivered a breakout performance, highlighted by a career-high 16 kills and 8 blocks in a five-set win over Christian Brothers. 

Throughout the week, McColley proved to be a steady force, totaling 29 kills, 17 blocks, and six aces across three matches. She was a key player in Montevallo's in a 3-1 win over West Alabama, where she added five aces and added seven kills. In a sweep over Union, McColley helped fuel a 16-0 opening run and added six kills and eight blocks.
