Blakeley Robbins and Men's Cross Country's
Zak Ferguson as the Montevallo Players
of the Week presented by Jack's for the week of Oct. 27.
Blakeley Robbins (Volleyball)
Sophomore setter
Blakeley Robbins reached a major career milestone this week, surpassing 1,000 career assists during the Falcons' Road match against Trevecca Nazarene. Robbins tallied 17 assists in that contest to reach the mark, highlighting her consistency as the team's primary setter.
Earlier in the week, the Daphne, Alabama native recorded nine assists against Lee and followed up with a strong 22 assist, 11 dig double-double performance against UAH. Robbins continues to set the tone for Montevallo's offense, showcasing precision and leadership as the Falcons navigate Gulf South Conference play.
Zak Ferguson (Men's Cross Country)
Freshman phenom
Zak Ferguson continued his record-breaking season with another standout performance at the 2025 Gulf South Conference Cross Country Championships in Memphis, Tenn. Ferguson placed sixth overall with a personal-best time of 24:13.4, earning GSC All-Conference First Team and being named the GSC Freshman of the Year as the top rookie finisher in the field.
The Sheffield, UK native now owns the second, third, and fourth fastest 8K times in program history, reinforcing himself among Montevallo's all-time greats in just his first collegiate season. His performance helped lead the Falcons to a seventh-place team finish in a competitive field, highlighted by multiple personal records across the roster.
