INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Max Stedeford and Cole Hunt closed out competition at the Midwest Classic on Sunday, highlighted by Hunt's seventh-place finish in the 125-pound bracket as Montevallo placed 23rd in the 47-team field.

Hunt delivered another strong showing on the final day, posting a 3-1 record to secure the placement. He opened the session with a 9-0 major decision over Mason Gutenberger (UMary), then followed with an 11-2 major decision against Braydon Mitchell (Emmanuel). After a narrow 4-2 setback to No. 7 Logan Sallot of Gannon, Hunt rebounded with a 16-8 major decision over No. 5 Colton Drousias of Glenville State to claim seventh place.

Stedeford faced tough opposition in Sunday's action, falling to No. 5 Ethen Doty of Upper Iowa and No. 7 Sabien Russell of Quincy.

Through the Midwest Classic, Hunt and Stedeford continue to pace the Falcons in victories this season, leading the team with 21 and 17 wins, respectively.

The Falcons return to action on Jan. 4 when they travel to Montgomery, Ala., for the Hawk Classic.
