MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo wrestling team returns to Central State Bank Arena for the second time this season on Tuesday night, hosting Emmanuel for Senior Night and Pack the SAC/Sea of Purple. The opening bout is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The Falcons resume dual action for the first time in the new year after competing at the Hawk Classic Open this past weekend. Montevallo last competed in a dual on Nov. 18, earning conference victories over Mount Olive and Ferrum to improve to 4-1 on the season.

Montevallo is led by NWCA No. 7 Cole Hunt, who paces the team with 21 total wins, while No. 15 Max Stedeford enters the matchup with a 17-3 record.

Emmanuel opens 2026 with a 5-3 overall record and a 5-2 mark in conference competition. The Lions were led at the Midwest Classic by No. 10 Braydon Mitchell (125) and Kobe Pablo (285), who each recorded multiple wins. Emmanuel has notched conference victories over Allen (33-7), Ferrum (25-22), Bluefield State (32-12), Emory & Henry (34-15), and Coker (23-19).

The Falcons and Lions have split the all-time series, with each program earning one dual victory. Montevallo claimed the most recent meeting last season in Franklin Springs, defeating Emmanuel 28-17.
