MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo wrestling team returns to Central State Bank Arena on Monday night to host No. 15 Lander with the Conference Carolinas regular season title on the line. First match is set for 6:00 p.m.

The Falcons are coming off a historic night last Wednesday, earning dual wins No. 9 and 10 of the season with a 58-0 victory over Lincoln Memorial and an 18-16 upset of No. 19 King. The shutout against LMU set program records for most points scored and largest margin of victory in a dual, surpassing marks that had stood for just two weeks. With the wins, Montevallo also secured its first-ever berth in the Conference Carolinas Championship by locking up a top-two finish in the West Division.

No. 7 Cole Hunt continues to lead the Falcons, posting a 27-2 record with 15 wins by fall this season. Willie Cox, Max Stedeford, and Kaden Brown have each surpassed the 20-win mark as Montevallo enters the final week of the regular season.

Monday's dual will decide the Conference Carolinas regular season champion. The Falcons enter the matchup at 9-1 in conference action, while the Bearcats are unbeaten at 9-0. Lander has represented the West Division in each of the past two seasons and has claimed four consecutive conference titles.

The 15th-ranked Bearcats are 18-3 overall and ride a five-match winning streak into Monday. Lander features six NWCA-ranked wrestlers, led by No. 2 David Hunsberger (18-1) at 165 pounds. James Joplin (No. 7 at 133), Elijah Lusk (No. 12 at 141), Dylan Kohn (No. 9 at 184), Marvelous Rutledge (No. 14 at 197), and Isaac Sheeren (No. 12 at 285) also hold national rankings.
