MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo men's soccer tallied its first win of the season with a 1-0 shutout victory over Lee on Saturday night.
Andre Etcheverry opened the night with a pair of saves in the first seven minutes before
Alex Mueller fired UM's first shot on goal in the 11
th. After a third Etcheverry save,
Joaquin Wladdimiro got a free run on the keeper and buried the shot to give UM a 1-0 lead in the 20
th minute. The two sides traded possession over the final 25 minutes of the first half to send the game to the break with Montevallo on top.
The Falcons came out of the half on a tear with three shots on goal in the first 15 minutes of second-half action. In the 63
rd minute, Etcheverry posted his fifth save of the night before a shooting drought from both sides. Etcheverry would add his sixth and final save of the night in the 90
th minute to hold off Lee and give Montevallo its first win of the 2026 campaign.

- Andre Etcheverry's first clean sheet of the season saw six saves on eight shots faced for a perfect 1.000 save percentage.
