2023-24 (5TH YEAR): Joshua placed inside the top three in five events during his 5th year as a Falcon. At the Delta State Invitational, Sauer won the 400-yard free with a time of 4:25.51. Against Birmingham-Southern, he placed second in the 1000-yard free with a time of 10:34.73. In the same meet, he took third place in the 500-yard free with a time of 5:09.21.

2022-23 (SENIOR): Joshua started the year on a high note as he placed in second twice against Millsaps with a time of 5:12.74 in the 500 Y Free and a time of 10:43.52 in the 1000 Y Free. He finished in third place against Birmingham Southern in the 100 Y Free (10:30.97). Sauer also set a personal best time of 27.51 in the 50 Y Back against Ouachita Baptist. 

2021-22 (JUNIOR): had a challenging year with sickness and injury keeping him out of the pool. Look for him to return stronger next year.

2020-21 (SOPHOMORE): Set a new PR in the 100 IM during round three of the CSCAA Virtual Cup … Established career high marks in the 50 breast (33.44) and the 50 back (27.73) during the Depauw-Wabash Virtual Invite … Took gold in the 1000 free with a finals time of 10:18.65 and in the 500 free with a time of 4:56.80 against Ouachita Baptist … Finished second in the 1000 free at Birmingham Southern with a finals time of 10:08.19 … Broke his own record in multiple events during the NSISC Championships including the 1000 free (9:47.13), and the 1650 free (16:35.54) … Was named Second Team All-NSISC

2019-20 (FRESHMAN): Owns several of Montevallo’s top time across multiple events including the 500 free (4:51.51), the 1000 free (9:59.89), the 1650 free (16:40.54), the 50 fly (25.45), and the 200 fly (2:00.06).

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed for Logos Preparatory Academy...placed first in the 100-meter butterfly in TAPPS 3A Division 3...was named First Team All-State...also competed for First Colony Swim Team.
