Former Montevallo standout Elaine Wood joined the coaching staff in August of 2021. Woo had a decorated career while playing for the Falcons, racking up four wins, earning Freshman of the Year honors, and was a two-time Player of the Year in the Peach Belt Conference. She was also a three-time All-American.
In 2018 Wood captured the first win of her professional career in the NWGAÂ Eggland's Best Ladies Professional Golf Tour at Stoneybrook East Golf Club. Wood fired off a final round score of 66 to win the event by two strokes. The Baldwin native shot three subpar rounds (71-68-66=205) to get to 11-under-par for the tournament.
Wood earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Montevallo in 2017.
