2024-25 (SENIOR)
Indoor: Competed in three indoor events. Clocked in at 9:23.06 in the 3000m at the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker. Placed 16th in the 5000m with a time of 16:42.02 at the Samford Indoor Open.
Outdoor: Competed in five outdoor events. Opened the outdoor campaig0n at the UWA Invitational where he set a personal record in the 1500m with a time of 4:25.18. Placed fifth in the 3000m Steeplechase with a season best time of 10:32.37 at the Falcon Classic & Multi. Recorded a podium finish at the Berry Field Day Invite, where he finished second in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:44.52.

2023-24 (JUNIOR)
Indoor: Competed in three indoor events. Recorded an indoor season best in the 5000m at the Emory Crossplex Showdown with a SB time of 16:43.31.Set a personal record in the 3000m with a time of 9:14.57 at the Samford Bulldog Invite. 
Outdoor: Competed in five outdoor events. Set a personal record of 16:25.69 in the 5000m at the Victor Ice Breaker Duals. Placed third in the 3000m Steeplechase at the Falcon Classic & Multi with a personal record time of 10:22.54. Placed sixth in the 3000m with a time of 9:40.05 at the Emory Thrills in the Hills. Placed tenth in the 5000m with a time of 17:20.26 at the Troy Doc Anderson Invitational & Multi.

2022-23 (SOPHOMORE)
Outdoor- Mateo competed in seven events during the 2022-23 outdoor season... During his first season as a Falcon, Mateo set PR's in the 5000, 3000, 1500, and 3000s. To end the season, he finished sixth in the 3000s at the Samford Alabama Track Challenge 2023 which is his highest placed finish for the outdoor season.
