Wilson joined the UM Track and Field staff in September of 2021. Prior to Montevallo, he served as a manager for the Desoto Athletic Club in Southaven, Mississippi holding responsibilities such supervise shift duties including emergencies, member needs, and staff performance, ensure procedural opening/closing operations of gym, and was responsible for reviewing daily receipts, billing, and amenities of gym.

During this time Wilson also served as a volunteer assistant coach with the track & field program at Center Hill High School in Olive Branch, Mississippi. While coaching at Center Hill, Wilson was tasked with attending practices, meets, and verbally coaching athletes in multiple events, working as meet official that officiated MHSAA sponsored event, and assisting in operational setup and break down of track meets.
Wilson, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, was a standout track & field student athlete at Mississippi State and currently owns a school record in the men's indoor heptathlon. In 2017 he earned All-SEC First Team honors during the Outdoor Decathlon Championship. He was also a two-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll. In 2016, Wilson was tabbed to the SEC Community Service Team. At Mississippi State, Wilson was the Communications & PR Executive Board Chairman with the Student Athlete M Club, and worked as a model for the Adidas marketing department at the university.
Wilson is a member of the Theta Iota Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc, and has his own photography/videography company called Beyond Real Moments where the motto is "We don't just take pictures, we capture moments".
Wilson graduated from Mississippi State in May of 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree.
