Was named a Gold Scholar on the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll... competed in the javelin throw competition in five events for the Falcons during her freshman season... won the javelin throw title at three separate events, the Birmingham-Southern Invitational, Emory Invitational and Mississippi College Twilight Invitational... finished second in the javelin throw at the Columbus State Invitational and came in third in the javelin throw at the Peach Belt Conference Championship.

Graduated from Colbert Heights High School in Tuscumbia, Ala... captured the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 2A state championship in the javelin throw event... was named her high school track and field team's Most Valuable Player... served as the President of her high school National Honor Society and Vice President of Student Council.
