Michael Land enters his third season serving as the Falcons' Assistant Coach.

Land was named the first assistant coach in University of Montevallo Men’s Wrestling history by Head Coach Daniel Ownbey. Land joined the Falcons full-time after serving as a volunteer assistant during the program’s inaugural 2022-23 season, playing a key role in recruiting the first class in program history and helping lay the foundation for the program.

Land competed collegiately at Reinhardt University, where he was a two-time Appalachian Athletic Conference placer and NAIA National Qualifier. Prior to Reinhardt, he wrestled three seasons at Newberry College, gaining valuable experience that he now brings to his coaching role.

A native of Moody, Alabama, Land was a two-time state champion at Moody High School and remains committed to developing the next generation of wrestling talent in his home state.
