2024-25 (FRESHMAN): Sykes had a nice freshman year for the Falcons where he won 13 bouts in 2024-25. He was tied for third on the team with five pins this season and holds the program record for fastest fall where he pinned his opponent in nine seconds. Sykes placed twice as he came in second at the Pepsi Open and eighth at the Georgia Open. He won his lone dual bout of the season against Coker where he won by a 19-5 major decision. Additionally, Sykes had three wins by decison, three by major decision and two by tech fall.

HIGH SCHOOL
Sykes attended Shelby County High School where he wrestled under Coach Whiting, Coach Harrison and Coach Sykes. He graduated with a 3.6 GPA.
