Barbara Holcombe serves as Business Manager for the University of Montevallo Department of Athletics, where she oversees the department’s financial operations, including budgeting, purchasing, and fiscal management in support of the university’s NCAA Division II programs. She works closely with athletic administrators, coaches, and staff to ensure efficient business processes and compliance with institutional and NCAA guidelines.
Holcombe began her career with the athletics department in March 2016 as an Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Business Manager in 2022. A proud alumna of the University of Montevallo, Holcombe earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 2012 and later completed her Masters of Business Administration in 2022. Her academic background, combined with her professional experience, provides a strong foundation for her role in athletics administration.
Holcombe is actively involved in campus service and has served on numerous university committees, including the Grievance Committee, Staff Senate, College Night Committee, and the Faculty and Staff Alumni Committee. In addition, she serves as a campus advisor for Alpha Gamma Delta, the sorority she was a member of during her time as a student.
Her connection to the University of Montevallo runs deep, as her family has been associated with the institution in various capacities—as employees and students—since 1950. Her commitment to both the athletics department and the broader university community reflects her dedication to supporting student-athlete success and institutional excellence.
A Montevallo native, Holcombe and her husband, Nick reside in Alabaster, Alabama.Â
