Micah Clemons joined the University of Montevallo track and field staff in August of 2021. Clemons primarily coaches the throwing events.
Since coming to Montevallo, Clemons has coached one All-American (Second Team), two provisional qualifiers, four first or second team honorees, two conference champions, and one freshman athlete of the year. His athletes have broken 11 school records, and one conference record (Women’s WT).
Clemons came to Montevallo as a graduate of Barton College where he saw tremendous success as a thrower on the Bulldog track and field team.
Clemons was a 3x Provisional NCAA Qualifier and earned accolades such as 2019 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region honors and 2019 Conference Carolinas Men's Field Outdoor Athlete of the Year. In total, he has collected 13 All-Region awards between indoor and outdoor. Clemons obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Baton College in 2020.
