MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo Student-Athlete Advisory Committee recently elected its officers for the 2012-13 school year. The student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes' lives.

Sophomore Pablo Martell of the baseball team was elected as the President of the SAAC and will replace out-going senior Ruwaldt Viljoen of the men's golf team who served as the President for 2011-12.

Junior Paige Scott of the women's soccer team was elected Vice President. Freshman Sara Cink of the cheerleading team was elected Secretary while junior Haley Evans of the women's cross country team was elected Treasurer.
