BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Montevallo senior Carrington Caise scored a team-high 15 points as the Falcons fell to NCAA Division I opponent Samford University 81-45 in its final exhibition game Nov. 10 at the Pete Hanna Center.

Caise made 5-of-17 field goals, including 3-of-3 from beyond the arc. Caise also dished out a team-high seven assists.

Junior Jacquelyn Thompson added 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting from the floor. Junior Katherine Goldsby added nine points and freshman Katija Tarailo contributed five points.

Junior Katie Colson grabbed a team-high five rebounds.

The Falcons will open the regular season Friday, Nov. 14 against Rollins on a neutral court in Saint Leo, Fla.
