How it Happened

The Falcons and the Canes battled it out for 23 minutes before either team scored.  In the 24th minute Taylor Gonzales got a ball and took it down the right side and found an opening in the Canes defense for a shot.  Gonzales' shot hit the top of the far post and bounced back in to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead.

The Falcons took the one goal lead into halftime.  In the second half the Falcons continued to build on the momentum gained in the first.

Senior Abby Carfantan scored her first career goal in the 50th minute off of a pass from Hannah Williamson.  Carfantan found the back of the net from the top right corner of the box to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead.

The Falcons put the game away in the 61st minute off of a goal from Michaela Longenecker.  Longenecker gathered the ball in front of the net and ripped one in to give the Falcons the 3-0 lead.

Stat of the Match

Three Falcons had multiple shots in today's match.  Gonzales and Longenecker both had three while Carfantan had two.

The Falcons had 10 shots on goal, their most this season.
