MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men's basketball program recently announced the signing of Jordan Rodriguez in the NCAA early signing period.

Rodriguez, a 6-foot-6 forward from Huntsville, Alabama, will enroll at Montevallo as a freshman in the fall of 2016 after graduating from Grissom High School in the spring.

Rodriguez was named the varsity team captain for Grissom as a senior. He was also named a Grissom Scholar-Athlete during his career and was an academic mentor and a member of the Spanish Honor Society.

Rodriguez also competed with the Music City Heat and Tennessee Valley Elite in AAU basketball during the summer. He helped the Music City Heat claim the team championship in the Diamond division at the 2014 Las Vegas Fab 48 Tournament and helped the squad finish eighth at the Adidas Invitational.

Rodriguez is the son of Jose and Isabel Rodriguez. He has two brothers, Jose Luis and Juan, and one sister, Bella.
