HOW IT HAPPENED
The first quarter was a back and forth contest with several lead changes. The Falcons trailed by 13-12 at the break. Albanelly's Perez led the Falcons in the first period of play with four points and four rebounds.
In the second period, Montevallo took a five-point lead into halftime after outscoring the Tigers 20-14 in the second period. Morgan Smith went 3-for-4 from the field and tallied seven points for Montevallo.
The Falcons increased their lead to six points in the third period of play to take a 51-45 lead into the final period. RayVon Christian went 3-for-3 from the free throw line and recorded five points in the period.
In the fourth period, Montevallo struggled to contain Stillman in the paint. The 16 fourth period points in the paint by Ki'Onna Likely took her to 25 on the game and helped the Tigers escape with a 4 point win. Haven Albright's missed 3-pointer with 2.8 seconds remaining was the Falcons final chance to force overtime. Stillman sealed the 68-64 victory from the foul line.
