The early advantage for the Falcons turned out to be the only lead in the first half for Montevallo as the Hurricanes went on a 12-3 run, capped with a 3-pointer by Adam Thoseby, to take a 18-12 lead with 13:46 left in the half.

A 3-pointer by Terence Johnson and a layup by Cade Towers on back-to-back possessions gave Georgia Southwestern a 59-46 advantage with 14:21 remaining in the game, which marked the Hurricanes' largest lead in the contest.
The Falcons stormed back and closed the game with a 29-13 run over the final 14 minutes to secure the come-from-behind victory.
Senior Malik Fields opened a 9-0 run by the Falcons with a layup before sophomore Vaughn Autry capped the run with a layup to trim the Hurricanes' lead to 59-55 with 11:35 left in the second half.
