HOW IT HAPPENED

-Montevallo was evenly matched with Young Harris in the first half. The best chance from open play fell to Taylor Gonzales, who forced Medeiros into a save.

-In the 40th minute, the Mountain Lions scored the go-ahead goal on a penalty kick awarded to Laisy Scardazzi to take a 1-0 lead

-The Falcons changed keepers in the second half, bringing on Sydney Young for Judith Perez-Bayon for the final quarter of the match.

-Montevallo pressed for an equalizer and came closest through a Taylor Kukes cross that was partially dealt with by Medeiros. She saved the second shot that came in to preserve the Mountain Lions lead.

-Lucero Robayo doubled the lead for the visitors in the 87th minute. She played most of the game at left back and was the best player for the Mountain Lions. She got the goal after moving into an attacking position late in the game.

STAT OF THE GAME

-Madison Madewell continued to impress at left back. She had three shots, including three on goal. She could not beat the in-form Medeiros who saved four Falcons' shots.
