HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Falcons surrendered the first goal of the match in the eighth minute.  The Laker's Manoly Baquerizo found the back of the net after gathering a pass on the right side of the box. 

-In the 21^st minute, the Lakers found goal again to take a 2-0 lead.  Maria Marti Bartis found the back of the net for Clayton State off a cross from Baquerizo. 

-In the second half, the Falcons got on the board with a goal to pull within one goal (2-1) of the Lakers.  Hampton Brinson gathered a pass on the right side of the box and
lofted a shot over the goalkeeper into the left corner.

-In the 81^st minute, The Falcons knotted the game at 2-2 on a penalty kick by Taylor Gonzales.  Gonzales was fouled from the back at the top of the box and was awarded the free shot on goal which she placed smartly in the bottom left corner.

-After forcing overtime, the Falcons were unable to produce a goal in extra time as their defense held strong and limited any chances that Clayton State had in extra time to earn a 2-2 draw.

STAT OF THE GAME

Gonzales led the Falcons with seven shots in today's game, five of them on goal.   Gonzales also scored the game-tying goal in today's draw.
