HOW IT HAPPENED
- West Alabama jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first half with a goal that came in the 10th minute. Neither team scored the rest of the half as the Tigers took the one-goal lead into halftime.
- The Falcons tied the game on a Jeff Hessenberger equalizer in the 50th minute. Patrick Morton found an open Hessenberger, who placed a sharply struck ball into the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
- In the 69th minute, the Tigers retook the lead on an unassisted goal that got by goalkeeper Robert Kuta.
- Trailing by a goal, the Falcons rallied to score an equalizer in the 77th minute off the boot of Arad Lev ArI. Lev Ari's goal was the last one scored in regulation by either team and sent the game into overtime.
- Neither team could score in the first period of overtime but it was in the second overtime period that the Falcons made their move and scored the game winner. Morton found the back of the net after being delivered a clean ball by Oliver Cylkowoski. Morton's go ahead goal sealed the 3-2 victory for the Falcons.

The Falcons outshot the Tigers 16-8 on the night and placed eight of those shots on goal. The Falcon's backline was stingy all night and only allowed the Tigers five shots on goal.
