HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons came out slow in their second game in two days. Young Harris took advantage and scored eight straight goals before the Falcons found goal with 17:56 remaining in the first half of play.
Montevallo's Lara Schuetz scored the first goal for the Falcons and was assisted on the goal by Jessica Culver to make it an 8-1 game.
Jami Hudak scored the Falcons other two goals in the first half. The first came off an assist from Georgi Griffin with 12:46 left on the clock. Hudak's second goal came in the final minute of the half off an assist from Culver.
The Falcons entered halftime trailing the Mountain Lions 15-3.
In the second half, the Mountain Lions opened up with a seven-goal run to push the lead to 22-3.Â
The Falcons scored their only goals of the half in the 49th minute and 50th minute. The first was an unassisted goal from Nabyl Jimenez and then Hudak found goal again off a Culver assist to make it a 22-5 game.
Young Harris ended the game with a pair of goals to claim a 24-5 victory over Montevallo.
STAT OF THE GAME
The Falcons were outshot 43-12 in today's contest with 10 of those being on goal. Montevallo also turned the ball over 20 times in today's defeat.
