HOW IT HAPPENED

The Falcons and the Flames met for the first time this season and the Falcons dominated from the opening whistle.

Montevallo's Jami Hudak scored the game's first goals, scoring four in a row in the opening 10 minutes of play.  Meghan Shea connected with Hudak on two of her goals and Janey Johnson assisted on one other.

Alyssa Kaminski scored again for the Falcons in the 10th minute of the game to give the Falcons a 5-0 lead.

Lee finally got on the board in the 11th minute to make it a 5-1 game on a Jayne Renfro goal.

Montevallo strung together four more goals with two of them coming from Hudak, with Lara Schuetz and Jessica Culver netting the other two goals.

Down 9-1, the Flames scored back to back goals to pull to within six points of the Falcons, who led 9-3.

Lauren Duckworth scored the final goal of the first half that was unassisted and gave the Falcons a 10-3 lead heading into the break.

The Falcons opened the second half with six straight goals to take a 16-3 lead. Nabyl Jimenez scored three straight goals during that run with Duckworth contributing two and Hudak scoring one goal.

Lee scored again in the 38th minute to make it a 16-4 game.

Montevallo scored the final four goals of the game, each coming from separate players.  Kaminski, Hudak, J. Johnson, and Schuetz all scored goals in the final 20 minutes as the Falcons held on for a 20-4 victory.
