HOW IT HAPPENED

The Falcons held the Senators to four goals in today's 17-4 Montevallo victory over Davis & Elkins.

Montevallo surrendered the first goal of the game in the sixth minute of play on an unassisted Senators goal.

The Falcons then scored five straight goals to take a 5-1 lead over the Senators.  Jessica Culver had two goals during that run and also assisted on another.  Jami Hudak, Lauren Duckworth, and Alyssa Kaminski all scored goals during that stretch for Montevallo.

After giving up a pair of goals to the Senators, Montevallo closed out the first half with a pair of goals to make it a 7-3 game at the break.

After halftime, the Falcons went on a run and scored the next nine goals.  Montevallo was able to jump out to a 16-3 lead on the Senators with Laura Schuetz scoring five of those goals. 

In the 55^th minute, the Falcons surrendered the Senators only goal of the half while a man down to make it a 16-4 game. 

Duckworth capped off the game with the final goal in the 58^th minute to seal the 17-4 victory for the Falcons.

Lara Schuetz scored a double hat trick in today's lopsided victory.

Montevallo outshot the Senators 38-11 in today's game.

The Falcons hit the road for a pair of road games this week.  The Falcons first opponent will be Barton College on Friday, March 17^th with the first draw scheduled for 2:00 pm.
