HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons faced the Crusaders in their final game of their two-game road swing this weekend.Â
North Greenville got off to a quick start in the opening half of play. The Crusaders opened the game on a four-goal run to take an early 4-0 lead over Montevallo.
The Falcons scored back-to-back goals to cut the Crusaders' lead to 4-2. Lauren Duckworth and Jami Hudak both scored unassisted goals for the Falcons.
North Greenville outscored Montevallo 4-1 through the remainder of the first half to enter halftime with an 8-3 lead. Jessica Culver was responsible for the Falcons lone goal during that time frame.
In the second half of play, the Falcons were only able to manage two goals that came off the sticks of Hudak and Janey Johnson.Â
North Greenville put together a pair of runs in the second half to take a commanding lead over the Falcons. The Crusaders opened the half on a six-goal run to make it a 14-3 game before the Falcons came back with their two goals.Â
The Crusaders netted three more goals to end the period and seal the 17-5 victory.

The Falcons will resume Gulf South Conference play with a matchup against Lee University. The Falcons and the Flames will meet for the second time this season on March 25 at 1:00 pm CT. Montevallo came away with a 20-4 decision in their first meeting this season.
