HOW IT HAPPENED

The Falcons returned to Montevallo and faced off against the visiting Fighting Scots in their first of two games this week.  Montevallo cruised to a double-digit victory as they defeated Ohio Valley 18-5.

Montevallo and Ohio Valley traded goals to open play in the first half.  The Falcons wasted little time getting on the board, scoring two goals in the game's opening minute to take an early 2-0 lead.  Alyssa Kaminski scored the game's first goal off an assist from Georgi Griffin and Jessica Culver netted the second goal for Montevallo.

The Fighting Scots tied the game at 2-2 with a pair of goals a couple of minutes later.

The Falcons went on a six-goal run over a five-minute span to take an 8-2 lead.

In the first half, the Falcons proceeded to outscored Ohio Valley 11-3 to make it a 13-4 ballgame at halftime.

In the second half, the Falcons outscored Ohio Valley 5-1, with Montevallo opening the second half on a 4-0 goal run as the Falcons cruised to an 18-5 victory.

STAT OF THE GAME

The Falcons had four players record hat tricks in today's game.  Culver, Kaminski, Lauren Duckworth, and Meghan Shea all reached the three-goal mark for the Falcons in today's victory.
